And speaking of A Christmas Carol, here's a photo from the Annual Marathon Reading of A Christmas Carol at the Housing Works for AIDS Bookstore in SoHo, New York City. Illustrious writers and other creative types, like Scott Adsit, John Hodgman, Jill Hennessey, Amor Towles, Kurt Anderson, and Rosie Schaap (pictured on the balcony) read their parts in the grand bookstore space as patrons listened and bought books and snacks to benefit Housing Works.
It was a fittingly literary way to get respite from the holiday bustle and remember the spirit of the holiday season.
